My StoryMy connection to Texas and to community runs deep.
I come from a multicultural family with roots that reflect both long standing Texas history and a broader global heritage. On my paternal grandfather’s side, my family represents five generations of Texans. My grandfather, a Korean Army veteran, shaped my understanding of service, responsibility, and care for others. Long after his military service, he continued giving back to the community as a crossing guard for Lewisville ISD, reinforcing the idea that civic contribution is not defined by title, but by presence and consistency.
Growing up in Corinth, I developed an early appreciation for community involvement, connection, and shared responsibility. Those values have remained central throughout my life.
I am openly autistic, a part of my identity that has shaped how I experience the world and how I approach problem solving, communication, and decision making. Autism has strengthened my ability to focus, recognize patterns, and approach challenges with thoughtful analysis. It has also deepened my respect for clarity, fairness, and structure. I believe cognitive diversity is a meaningful strength in leadership and contributes positively to collaborative decision making.
I am an active participant in SPARK, a national autism research initiative dedicated to advancing understanding and improving the lives of autistic individuals and their families. Participation in this study reflects my long standing belief in learning, growth, and contributing to broader community knowledge.
My experiences have also shaped how I view community itself. I believe a strong city is one where people feel respected, where differences are not treated as divisions, and where neighbors can trust that they belong. Local leadership plays an important role in fostering that stability. Thoughtful governance requires listening, fairness, and a commitment to serving the entire community with consistency and care.
I value civility, constructive dialogue, and decision making grounded in practicality rather than noise. Communities thrive when residents feel heard, when policies are approached with balance, and when leadership reflects both empathy and accountability.
My life experiences, family background, and personal perspective inform my commitment to steady, thoughtful leadership rooted in presence, transparency, and genuine investment in the well being of Corinth and its residents.
