Steady Leadership. Clear Systems. Connected Community.

Leadership isn't about making grand promises; it's about optimizing the systems that keep our city running. My plan focuses on translating technical city data into resident-friendly information and ensuring our growth is both sustainable and ecological.

1. Transparent Data & Information Accessibility

The Goal: Moving from "It’s on the website" to "It’s easy to understand."

  • The Vision: I will work to bridge the gap between complex city packets and resident understanding. This includes advocating for "Project Spotlights" that translate technical Public Works data into plain-English Impact Reports.

  • The Action: I will push for an "Accessibility First" digital overhaul, ensuring that every zoning change or budget line item comes with a clear explanation of how it affects your neighborhood and your property values.

2. Infrastructure-First Growth

The Goal: Ensuring our "pipes and pavement" stay ahead of our population.

  • The Vision: I will prioritize the maintenance of our existing roads and drainage systems before approving new, high-density expansions. We must ensure the hard work of our Public Works team is fully funded and integrated into every development decision.

  • The Action: I will use a data-driven approach to evaluate new developments, asking the "math-verified" questions about utility capacity and stormwater runoff to protect our current residents from downstream costs.

3. Neighborhood-Level Accountability

The Goal: Taking the government to the people, not the other way around.

  • The Vision: Leadership should be as accessible as a conversation over the backyard fence. I want to move beyond traditional City Hall hours and create a direct line of communication between Place 5 and the families who live here.

  • The Action: I will host regular "Civic Office Hours" in our local parks and coffee shops, providing a consistent, low-pressure space for neighbors to bring their concerns—from streetlights to safety—directly to their representative.

4. Restorative Conservation & Native Design

The Goal: Moving from "replacing greenery" to "restoring the local ecosystem."

  • The Vision: While current ordinances protect our trees, I believe we can do more. We should be leading the way in conservation by requiring developers to prioritize native, drought-tolerant landscapes that support our local environment and save on city water.

  • The Action: I will advocate for updating our Unified Development Code (UDC) to mandate Native Design Standards. This ensures that new commercial growth isn't just "green," but is ecologically responsible and sustainable for the Texas climate.
